Sandun Tharaka earned his first class degree with honors in BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2016. He has over one year of professional experience working as structural design engineer designing and detailing steel and concrete structures. His research interests include life-cycle assessment, shape memory alloys, earthquake engineering and structural analysis. He is currently working on life-cycle assessment of self-centering bridges located seismic regions.
