The School of Engineering has a specialized structural test facility referred to as Applied Laboratory for Advanced Materials & Structures (ALAMS). This is the largest laboratory on campus measuring 6418 sq. ft. (599 m2) with a 3 story ceiling that contains a specialized reaction floor. The laboratory has a large variety of a testing equipment, actuators, and apparatuses that include:

- Four 250 kN (250 mm stroke) MTS Actuators
- 500kN (930 mm stroke) FPS Actuator
- 3000 kN Compression Tester
- Freeze/Thaw Cabinet
- Impact Tester
- 3 National Interments DAQ Systems
- 15 Linear Displacement Transducers (LVDT)
- Several Load Cells Ranging From (100N to 2000kN)
- An assortment of Non-Destructive Testing Equipments
