Dr. M. Shahria Alam is a Professor in the School of Engineering at the University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus, where he holds the Tier 1 Principal's Research Chair in Resilient and Green Infrastructure and directs the Green Construction Research & Training Center (GCRTC). His research advances resilient and sustainable civil infrastructure, and he is a licensed Professional Engineer in British Columbia and Ontario. He earned his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Western Ontario (2008).
